Hi we are a military family new to the area and newly diagnosed with ASD. I was wondering if anyone knows of any ABA programs here in or near Poulsbo, WA or Silverdale, WA area? Also if you prefer center based ABA or home therapy? To me home therapy would be more helpful since the child is in her own natural environment and the behaviors are more likely to occur right? Also, any good pre-school programs here?

If you are in the military and using ECHO Tricare health insurance, they should assign you a case manager who can give you a list of providers.
I agree with @A MyAutismTeam Member. We chose to do in-center therapy. My thinking was that the behaviors they learned in therapy, I could help them generalize into our home. If they did therapy at home, there was very little opportunity for them to regularly generalize the behavior to another setting. It worked for us but obviously it depends a lot on your child and your options for providers.
