Making Friends In Alaska
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

I'm returning to this site after a couple of years of inactivity. I have a son who is about to turn 11, and has high-functioning autism. We are in Anchorage, Alaska and would love to connect with others for playdates! I realize this isn't a question, per se - but seemed easier than searching for active profiles. Happy New Year, everyone. Let's make it great. ;)

Stone Soup group has a Wii club for kids with autism. You can google them. If you can't find it, let me know and I'll find it for you. My son is 20 and we are in the valley so the boys would not be a good match. But I am interested in getting to know you.

If possible, a therapy dog might be a good idea if he is lonely. A calm dog that's past all behavior testing if you just go to a shelter. just make sure they are a good fit together, have them meet a few times before you pick the dog to make sure they fit.
