I have read his book and NIDS protocol and also SCIA protocol. We didn't pursue it as we are pursuing other biomedical approaches. From what I've heard Dr Goldberg has poor bedside manner and really pushes SSRI as he believes they are neuro protective. While that may be true, I don't believe this approach should apply to all and unfortunately there are no definitive bio markers to say who would benefit the most.
If this is Dr. Michael Goldberg, whose theory is that autism is really NIDS, I have to warn you that I know someone who had a REALLY negative experience with his suggested treatments making her child worse. I don't have any personal experience with him (negative or positive), but I wanted to pass along what I've heard through the grapevine.
Was the person you talked to about Dr. Goldberg a patient or a parent of a patient?
