My son 10 year old son has been taking Clonidine before bed for two years. He can not sleep without it. It just makes him tired. Don't know what it would do for ADHD. Good luck to you and your son.

My non verbal eight year old daughter took it and had a bad reaction. She had really bad aggression issues and was crazed until it wore off. She was five at the time but I am not sure if it would have mattered

My 7 year old took it after Intuniv stopped working. It literally made him sleep for days. It is used in cases of acute high blood pressure in adults. It drops a person's blood pressure VERY low VERY quickly. Also, if you abruptly stop using it it can cause bounce back hypertension, basically your child's heart gets used to functioning on extremely low pressure and when you stop the drug, their blood pressure skyrockets and it can take days/weeks to return to normal.
