In just about any state you can pull your child out of public school and place them in private. One thing to be aware of is that private schools are not mandated to do everything a public school is so you may not get the services you want or need. Now if the private is an ASD school you should be ok but otherwise I would be careful.

If you want to pull your child out of public because they are not getting what they need because the district is fighting you I would suggest finding out what your rights are in the state and forcing them to provide. They try to get out of things because they think you do not know the rules. Do your research and push back and fight to get what you need

If you want the district to foot the bill for private school placement, I would strongly encourage you to talk to an attorney who practices special ed law. Be prepared to go to due process because districts will likely fight you tooth and nail to avoid paying for private placement.
