Did Anyone Get A Flu Shot During Early Pregnancy And Now Have A Child With Autism Or Seizures?
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

I know they says it's safe, but here I am thinking back on life and wondering about that shot. I had a swine flu shot at 6 weeks pregnant. My son was born with cortical dysplasia affecting his entire brain. He just had the left temporal lobe of his brain removed because of seizures. He is nonverbal with autistic feature. I have two other boys, and neither have issues. I didn't do anything different in my pregnancies other than that shot. I know it's awful to look back, but I just can't stop… read more

If there was strong link between a flu shot and autism it would be pretty obvious to figure out if there was single source for the problem.

When we didn't know the cause of diseases we blamed witches, bad air (malaria), bad blood (blood-letting). . . We aren't that different from our ancestors despite our longer lifespans and our ability to life healthy lives from common things like a deep infected cut that killed our predecessors. More recently we were clueless about AIDS but managed to find treatments (not a cure) within 15 years. Somewhere there's Nobel Prize there for the doctor(s) out there who can first figure out what causes autism. I've said it before but there is no big push for research and I challenge anyone who can show me some convincing numbers beyond the rising numbers of people diagnosed with autism.

No for the one who has severe Asperger's , yes for the one who is mildly autistic

Got the h1n1 shot in third trimester and son has mild autism. Didn't for first NT son. At least one h1n1 shot in Europe was found to cause neurological disorder and was subsequently banned. http://sciencenordic.com/study-explains-why-h1n...

I had flu shots with half of them and not with the other half, and it made no difference. 5 out of 6 of my bio kids are on the spectrum.
