My 3.5 year old who has a diagnosis of ASD, has recently started biting his 10 month old baby brother. The baby doesn't do anything to provoke him (doesn't take his toys/ break his things or anything like that), he's not angry when he bites him (he smiles when he bites him), he's not doing it when I'm giving the baby more attention. Is your son verbal and does he understand when u explain why he shouldn't bite? I hear social stories work very well as well as distraction. Find something more rewarding and motivating that biting his brother. Maybe find out why and when he started biting and if he can explain his need for it? Give him a teething/chewing stick perhaps? Kids with oral fixation usually do well with a chewing toy.
