Hi! I have a 27-month old with high functioning autism. For the past 6 months, he has been cared for by my mother in law, and Early Intervention comes to our house. Unfortunately, my mother in law was injured yesterday and can no longer care for him. We are in desperate need of an inclusive day care/preschool in Northern New Jersey. Any recommendations? Thanks so much!
what is puzzling to me is this example of a need for inclusive day care is prevalent so why are there not literally franchises of day care for this population. I am a newbie but the questions in my head are endless. In one hand you have a very real need and on the other you got not much! nuf said.
Hi. I'm wondering if you ever found a facility. I'm in the same boat. Thanks!
Yes!!! Some of the places I called or checked out said that they couldn't meet his needs. This was before they even met him. It is astounding.
