I am looking for three things.
One, is parents with children of adult children on the spectrum
Two, other grandparents with very high functioning ASD children.
Three, other elderly adults on the spectrum.

@ LuAnnGriffin,

Do you know about transition services? My son has very high functioning Asperger's. He has come so far and is so blessed! My son is 30 years old an just getting his permanent driving license. Will your daughter be able to drive one day, or will she be unable? Do you have Social Security Disability insurance for her? Does she see a doctor that can give her a letter for special transportation services. I know nothing of your daughters status, so forgive me if I am asking you so many questions. Plus I am new here. I am a Pediatric rehabilitation RN retired, 30 years experience. Maybe I can help you find resources be a resource for you?

Have a great day!

Elona

I have an adult child on the spectrum. She's 21, lives with me, doesn't drive or work... I love her dearly and worry about her gaining independence.
