Violent Behavior And Spitting
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

My autistic daughter is increasingly violent toward her younger brother and is spitting on things and people still. There are different reasons that she is doing these things. There is no one single reason. Any recommendations and/or advice would be appreciated. Medication suggestions are also welcome. Thanks!

My daughter is almost 6 and still does that.... I think it is to get attention. She also pees on things as well, but I think she is more than autistic.

Sounds like my daughter. She's usually not angry when she's aggressive she doesn't consider other people's pain or annoyance. We just started on the meds this week so I don't have a recommendation yet. Sometimes I just grab her to keep her away from other people. She's heard it all before but we tell not to hit other people. We started on a behavior program to curb her impulses but if the doctors can't change her maybe only time will.
