My son used to wake up cry/scream I think it it is a sign of processing things that have happened.. Does your so. Take melatonin? It can cause vivid strange dreams that may be upsetting him... A good night time routine, room darkening curtains and petah do music can help..my son rarely does it now

she has had night terrors before but that was during a transitional period such as when she started a new school and after her baby sister was born. We use white noise, lavender lotion rub down and a set routine to help avoid them. A night light may also help.
