Sleeping In His Own Bed

How do we get my son to sleep in his own bed all night. It's been 5 years and we still lay with him every night till he falls asleep. Only way he will take ANY kind of melatonin or ANYTHING is by crushing it. Will not take any pills so that's out.

Liquid meds are available .. I have to get anything he needs in liquid form
