We had a positive experience with KGH but they are far. I met with and heard good things about Behavioral Perspectives and By Your Side. We tried Positive Behavioral Connections. Everything was Ok until until our 5 year old laid on the floor in protest of discreet trials. He wanted to stay in group. They are "hands off" so they had to basically let him lay there, and said that they do not know how long they can continue to support him if it continues. He was learning rote language. We decided to leave once he started his new school. The co owner did not know him and the other owner was out of town. They called and said that he was being aggressive. Aggression over anger is out of character for our son so my husband went to pick him up and found him in the room alone with no furniture. He was anxious and asked to put the furniture back at Niki's school for weeks afterwards, and it took months to lose that flopping behavior. They were scheduled to help us in the community before any of this and canceled. Our son was his BCBA's first client as a BCBA. She tended to giggle nervously when we had a question that she could not answer. We tried Instructional ABA before that. They sent a large team of inexperienced and unsupervised students and offered very limited BCBA time. Our son ran from them and hid. The program manager giggled on our couch. The company lost our evaluation results and wanted to just use his IEP, which is not a normal protocol. The BCBA told the line therapists to ask the Mom to give them things to work on like puzzles. A lot of cancellations and turn over.

I would think the same thing with son but you might be surprised. It can also be placed on the ankle.

I believe I contacted Little Friends but no one responded. Project LifeSaver is a joint effort between PLI and local Sheriff office. Our county is a participate of the program and the state pays for the device and installation. I know its been a while since anyone's replied on this thread, but i was wondering which services you eventually went with? My son was recently diagnosed as on the spectrum and although i've gone with the center for autism and related disorders but its only been a few weeks since we started therapy and although they seem super nice but the CBA's seem right out of college and inexperienced, plus theres alot going on with their staff quitting and new hires.
I was just wondering if there were any other recommendations for ABA providers for the naperville area.
