Looking For A School For Autistic Kids
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have an 11-yr old son with Asperger's that had an awful last year in public school. We are considering no more public schools. My son was not given proper IEP or accommodations. We live in Trinity NC and only been able to find one school listed online, The Piedmont School. We could use any ideas anyone could suggest.

Check out the autism speaks site. Or just Google autism speaks advocate. I believe they have a toolkit that should prove to be helpful

If the public schools in your district don't have what your child needs, it's up to them to help find a school in another district that does. You also have a day in this. The home district also must supply transprotation.
Don't ever sign an improper IEP. Be that parent that will drive them nuts until they get it right.
Do you have an advocate?
