We ordered from sweet Ali's in hinsdale for my son's birthday! Very good!
If you have no luck at a baker, they make GF cake mix. I get the chocolate mix, add the eggs and coconut oil, a little GF Vanilla, and then make my own icing with Coconut oil and powdered sugar and cocoa powder and a TINY bit of vanilla. Must be refrigerated so the frosting/icing stays solid, coconut oil tend to get melted over 76 degrees.
You could try making your own cake with brown rice flour and tapioca flour. I used to do 2 parts brown rice flour, 1 part tapioca flour(aka tapioca starch).
Thank you JillV. We usually make our own too unless we need a cupcake to take to a party for our son.
@JilV, Where do you suggest in Il.? Good prices? Looking for Western Suburbs. l
