Considering Relocating
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

At this point, we really don't have a very supportive family and I could not care less about living in Cleveland, Oh. Does anyone know what the school systems are like in Columbus, Detroit, N. Havelock, NC, or Dfw Tx areas. If you live in any of these areas, please add me to your team I am curious about these cities. Thanks.

DFW really depends on where live in the metroplex. Collin County has the most resources. I just moved from Collin County to Grayson County though and am extremely happy with the ECI services I am receiving. We have opted out of doing ABA because there is no state assistance for it and I don't believe that my son in particular would benefit that much better with ABA than he is with the Early Denver Model. We have a behaviorist that has been working with children on the Spectrum for 27 years and he is fantastic in pointing out areas that are strengths and weaknesses.

Oh and BTW, West Chester, PA , Downingtown, PA, and Unionville PA are the top 3 school districts! I was born and raised in west chester so I can speak for them! It's also a great place to live and raise a family!

Move to Pennsylvania! You have Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (with CHOP centers all over the place as well) Hershey Medical Center as well... The weather is nice, you get all the seasons- snow in winter, leaves turning color in fall, the. Pucksatawny Phil (i think that's his name, lol) the groundhog that Decides if spring comes early or not, you can move to a rural area like me out with the Amish, or a small cool little town or neighborhood... lots of stuff to do and see... Philly Art Museum, and the Franklin institute... not to mention the zoo, close to the Poconos for winter fun, I can go on and on... oh and there's lots of therapy choices here too! NC is within driving distance for vacation... can't think of anything that would make me want to live in TX. Lol... hope that doesn't offend anyone... but I know how u feel about lack of family support and wanting to get far away...

Thanks @ ChristineMiller, Tx is hell, but my father (biggest supporter) is there. But, Cleveland is an absolute nightmare!
