I have a 3 yr old daughter and our uppa baby vista just broke on us and I'm wondering if there is a particular stroller that anyone can recommend for a 3 yr old autistic girl who weighs 50 lbs. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I realize your daughter might be too heavy for you to carry, but I thought I would share for others that might read this that we found a baby carrier that works well for our 2.5 year old (33 pounds) daughter. She has never liked the stroller and wants to be carried which is tough now that she is so much bigger. It's called the LillieBaby CarryOn Air. There is a carrier I haven't tried called the Kinderpack that even makes a preschool age carry that will hold up to 55 pounds.
You are going to need an RX for this because they are expensive but if you want a quality stroller that will last check out Convaid, Otto Bock, or Snug Seat. You will have to get them from a DME and have a PT write up a letter of medical necessity but it is worth it.
