Supplement To Make Up For Food? What Is A Good Multi-vitamin/alternative For Food?
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

My son is a very picky eater and always has been. He is going to be 6 years old this December. I am afraid that this could affect his development and it really does scare me. Especially, now that there are always commercials about "80% of the brain developing in the first 3 years." I did give him a multi vitamin prescribed by his pediatrician but did not start giving it to him until his 1 year check up (Qualitest Multi-Vit with Flouride). I just didn't even think about vitamins before that, I do… read more

My kid's multivitamins do no dissolve all the way in the juice, but luckily with the the non-diluted juice he didn't notice. They are very easy to crush if you just use the back of a spoon. Does your child take liquid tylenol or motrin from a syringe ok? Because I know there are all sorts of liquid multivitamins that have didferent flavors or plain available online.

@A MyAutismTeam Member i forgot to mention i had started giving him probiotics. That was the beginning. They help grow good gut bactetia. Usually for kids who have been prone to ear infections at young agr, stong anyibiotics are given, which kill the good type of gut bacteria. Once u start fixing that problem, and removing regular backup options the taste, appetite etc for regular foods come back automatically. I buy the dinosaur shaped probiotics from sprouts - a health store chain here in s.california

@A MyAutismTeam Member I did try the bottle of Flintstones. He would not take them and they do not dissolve and are hard to crush. After that, I started shopping for his vitamins at the Vitamin Shoppe because I just thought that maybe that would have better quality vitamins. They are expensive around $20.00-$30.00 some more. That is where I got the liquid multivitamin and he hated it. It was hard to give to him because the directions said to add an equal amount of water to it so that made it seem like he was taking a lot more and he could smell it in juice so it would not work mixing it with juice either.
