Has Anyone Had Their 2and A Half Year Old Put To Sleep For A Mri?

We have a Mri for tomorrow at 9 and he will be put to sleep for about a hour and I am very nervous about it .I had not known that he would be put all the way under anyone else have this done?

Yes. It's not a big deal. Just ask that you can be there until he falls asleep and before he wakes up so you can help him through it. Hope they learn something from the MRI. We didn't. We found the QEEG to be a more effective tool in finding out what is going on with his brain.

Grandson did well and had no problems other then being all hyped up.Hope things go better for your daughter.

Kalen has had mris before. he has been put all the way under. he had no problems with the anesthesia

My daughter was 12 for MRI. But they have given her anesthesia for tooth removal. Our experience was not a good one. Her dad cried so hard because of her reaction when she was going under. The experience didn't stop there because they found that her pituatary stalk was larger than normal and will want to continue monitoring which might mean more MRIs

he can't get any future mris now though since he has a heart monitor installed
