My son sometimes wears a weighted vest in school. It provides deep pressure and helps calms him down. You can also take both hands, start at the shoulders and lightly squeeze down the sides of their body down to their legs.

Weighted blankets are used for providing deep pressure which gives a feeling of calm ( to kids who like pressure) It can also help with sleep and reducing anxiety and/or stress.

My son sometimes wears a weighted vest at school as well. The Temple Grandin movie talked about it also, and she personally has talked about the pressure feeling good, especially since she had an aversion to being hugged or squeezed by other people for a large chunk of her life.
