I don't know where you live, but in Wisconsin there is Disability rights, they were a great resource when I was having issues. I found them by googling what I was looking for and in the location I was looking for. I was once dealing with a school that was very rude and the IEP meetings were pointless for me to go to because they already had their plan of what they were going to do and wouldn't let me talk. I had taken an advocate, and some of my aba team that had volunteered to go as advocates and they were even shocked at how bad it was. I found that researching other schools in the area and getting her out of there was the best choice I ever made. They did not make it easy by any means, but I was able to do it. It took a lot of research and knowing my rights. If you wanted to talk privately I would be more than happy to help in any way that I can. Keep your head up!!

Hi @A MyAutismTeam Member, I'm not sure would this help where you're @ in New Jersey, but this what has happened and helped me, seeing that this is my first child and he's of the spectrum, I was lost just like you because this was something new for me, but one of the biggest things I did was asked around and I have any asked some of my friends on Facebook who had special needs children and also pediatrician all their help has guided me to the right people I needed to help me help my son, and their efforts had made my life a little easier for me and my son because it helped me get a few advocates to help us. I hope this helps you some @A MyAutismTeam Member and good luck.
