Crying when excited

A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question ๐Ÿ’ญ

My 18 month old daughter with ASD cries when she gets really excited. Does anyone else have a child who does this? I know that when she does this, she is just over excited and she is not actually upset, but it is very difficult to explain this to other people. Just curious if anyone else has experienced this. Thank you ๐Ÿ˜Š

Yes! My 2 year old son does this. For example he knows that when we need to put shoes on its because we are going outside and he loves the outdoors. So he gets super excited and starts to whine/cry. It definitely is hard to explain to people but it's nice to know its not just my son lol
