Private School

A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭
Orlando, FL

working on getting Gabriel into Private school for kindergarten. I did not like the public school system (he's been in it for 3 years 2 different schools). Our personal tour in 3 days and I want to be prepared. What questions should I ask?

I would be asking them how they deal with autistic children and what the curriculum is. I would ask what accomadations they make and what training their personal is.

You also have to keep in mind that a private school is not regulated like public so they do not have to follow the same rules. You kind of have to feel them out to see how they respond to you.
