Not a toddler but our son has been taking clonidine since he was 6 and it is a miracle for us! We give it at night and it helps him get to sleep and lower his anxiety!

I would let the doctor know, they should be be able to suggest something. So sorry..I know what you are going through with no sleep :(

My son cannot take many meds due to neuro problems so clonidine has been a major help for us. It really helps him with impulsivity and hyperactivity as well as helping him sleep.

Trazadone does work as well and without the reaction the Clonodine has sometimes. I have actually taken Trazadone as well for periods of time without issue, but I am not autistic.

My sone does take Clonodine without a problem. This is the thing with meds some work for some and not for others so it is trial and error.

I have found Meletonin only works for so long, and once you get to a high dose it is not worth it because it can cause issue to.

@ 5 mg and it worked for a while we are now at 25 milagrams and it's still not working he may sleep five hours and can be up for two days on only four hours of sleep I'm desperate I don't know what to do I'm so drained and he is too but he doesn't sleep
