I totally believe that exercise releases the feel good hormones and I have seen my son become calmer after a brisk walk around the block or after a swim. Looking to try some different exercise or relaxation activities with my son each week so we can keep challenging him during the colder season as we have packed his splash pool away. There are no ideas too small, too big or too wacky for us to consider.
Nature trails can be good for exercise and being in a peaceful environment. Problem was that my daughter would straggle behind by getting distracted or just a slow walker. We are thinking about getting a dog as my daughter doesn't have other friends to play with except her brother.
I take my son to a Pilates class once a week. It's helped with his posture, sleep,& back ache. We are always happy after the class and its awesome to do something together. His progress has been phenomenal and he is so chuffed when he is able to do something quite difficult
My son is always moving. His activities includes biking, walking, skateboarding the trail around the pond by our house, trampoline, basketball, parks, going out in the yard and turning flips, video games that require lots of movement, push-ups, sit-ups, pull-up bars and anything thing else that I can think of. He takes lots of breaks doing our homeschooling day.
A treadmill whilst listening to nice music?
