Weighted Vests For Autism
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

Just wondering if anyone has any reviews on a weighted vest. My son has autism and he stims so much. I wonder if a weighted vest may be of some help. Any suggestions on which work better?

we tried vests for a little while but ultimately wasn't a great option for our son. As he got older (soon will be 7) the stimming became more focused on times of true excitement vs. all the time......what we have used with a lot of success is a weighted blanket. He has slept with the same weighted blanket since he was 2. I really think it helped him to become a very good sleeper...he hardly ever wakes up in the middle of the night and I also think it helps him stimm less in the morning.
