My daughter has ABA theraphy and nothing else yet. I want her to have speech, occupational and physical but not sure she would be able to handle all of that at once, plus I don't see how there is enough time to fit all of that in daily. I really need help with which is the most important for her young age. Please share your experiences or what has helped your child during toddler years. Thank you.
My daughter (during the school year) goes to school 10 hours a week and has aba 2.5 hours a day 5 days a week. I would do school and aba over speech and ot. My daughter gets speech and ot in school and they work on it in aba as well
For my daughter, a balance it's important. We do ABA, OT, MNRI and gymnastics. I'm a speech therapist, so I do do speech throughout the day and also incorporate Montessori inspired activities. She will be starting a two day half day program with a shadow in the Fall. We don't do as many hours of ABA as others, because we want to have room for other types of therapies and activities. My daughter is 3.5 .
we do ABA 3 days a week 6 hours a day and the speech and ot see him there at the therapy center.
Where did the like and hug button go. I agree completely, Kazia. If my son grows up and wants to be called autistic, then great, I will happily call him that. Until then, he will not be defined by a diagnosis. His name is James...that's it. He also struggles with autism.
We do 9 hours a week of ABA, 2 of ST + 1 hr of OT . I wish I could do more! my son is is advancing so fast because of this, and the work we do at home. He just turn 3, how old is your daughter?
