Social Services Involvement?
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

I'm curious how many other families have had social services called and if so how many times? Obviously feel free not to answer.

Well, I found that to be wrong because you have the Legal right to know who the accuser is so you can defend against them. If they insist that they cannot tell you is because they are trying hard to incriminate you regardless of the laws. As I did, I told the Investigators; "I have the Legal obligation to defend Myself and My Son against anyone who plans on doing Harm to us, and Separating us on False Claims is Harm in My view." Another thing that I did was to list names and their current relationship with Myself and My Son. This opened many doors for them to investigate and kept them busy for a while.

Oh My...Too many times to count! They have to give you the name of the 'Accuser' so you can defend yourself. It's Law. They will tell you that it's not, but it is. Write them and tell them that without a 'Legal and Binding Warrant' that is delivered by the Sheriff that they can no longer access your house or property. Take the names of the Investigators and write everything down. Make copies of whatever they have you sign and whatever you can get your hands on. Write the Office and tell them that the investigators acted unprofessional and you will be from this point on recording any and all encounters with anyone associated with investigation in concerns of your children. It's alright to stand your ground, and the sooner the better.

@A MyAutismTeam Member. You have a right to know who you are defending yourself against.

Just reading this gives me a bout of PSTD ! Yes, My family was called, due to my kids were Ill and out of school , I reported the issues to School and The Doctors , We were having issues before we were exposed to toxic Mold that made out situation so bad it was Horrific ! The systems are so broken and do not understand, nor do CARE what your problem is- Care for you self means you find your people and Stick with them ! There is no on in CPS with Autism- how would they know what we are dealing with, when they don't expenience.
- what many on the Spectrum suffer with - There should be a support group these families are directed to SUPPORT more so involved CPS seems to be more like a Police situation. Checks and balances - for many they are just checking up on reports but don't do much to help the situation due to there lack of skill or understanding - My home is set up to take on families that need help and assistance , the goal is to change this environment of neglect and lack of understanding .

I am sorry that your are going thru this. I live with people watching over my shoulder and are allowed in my home anytime. If I refuse to allow them in I will forfeit my daughter being on the waiver program she is on and could possible lose her.
