Chula vista school district is very good and have friends that send there children to there schools and seems like funding is very good and have great services offer.theres many ways to go about it getting an inter-district or you can talk to your child iep team and if you able to prove that not the right placement then they will change the school or even better at district expense they will pay for private school and provide transportation to the schooling that fits your child needs. But would recommend getting a special education attorney to handle that.i reached out and was told good news and got my case accepted and in the process of getting my sons the best education and services they need it free if you have a case and district will pay the fees it worth it.my sons school offered summer school at zombrano( think that how it spelled) in the PH area not sure if thats a good school or if there special education staff is even experience with children like mine we will see though hope this helps

We lived in valley center and they bused my son all the way to Miller elementary in ESCONDIDO. They have to give you services the fit your child's needs and if the district your in doesnt proved that, have an IEP meeting and see what your options are. Poway has one of the best special Ed programs in San Diego county.

By the way where we live belongs to San Diego unified school district. I wonder if it's difficult to enroll him for the school of different districts because of the IEP. We used to live in La Mesa, just moved to paradise hill last year so my daughter goes to school in La Mesa.
