Kiddos Anxiety Over Shots

My 11 year daughter needs to have a shot on Monday but has such horrible anxiety over getting them, she screams and cries and we have to restrain her. She has always been this way but gotten worse lately. Anyone else has a kiddo that struggles like this? What can I do to help keep her calm?

Thank you all for your helpful suggestions, etc. I am pleased to say she did amazingly well during her shot and she did it without freaking out. Her anxiety gets the better of and she will freak out, scream, cry, and almost pass out. Today we had none of that, just me holding her on my lap. 😊
Sooooo proud of her!
