High School Diploma
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

Can anyone recommend a high school program in Orange County NY for a child who is high function austism. We are struggling terribly through the material for earth science and algebra. These courses and regents are required for a diploma. My son needs a unique way to learn this material.
Thank you!

I have homeschooled two autistic sons who both did very well with the Teaching Textbooks Algebra 1 and 2 curriculum. It is written in simple, non-convoluted language and teaches the topic well--my older son scored 98th percentile in math on the SAT.

Are you already using an I.E.P. ? This plan has been a blessing for two of my children as it helps them by giving more time on tests as well as reducing the workload requirements to something more in their ability and still being able to learn.I feel it gives them a mainstream experience while still ensuring that if they need extra help or tutoring the children have that support as well.
