Hi everyone. My son just had a pre school education evaluation. Im happy that it turned great, my son participated, without us being present. They say he knows a lot, good vocabularies though has expressive language difficulty.
We are new to special ed . We will discuss the results next week. They think he might be able to attend Reg pre school with some therapy.
Is special ed preschool a separate class from regular pre school? I don't know what to expect. My Son will be 3 next month.
My son attends preschool that has special ed mixed in with non special ed. It has been nice to have the chance to interact with all types of kids.
Thank you @A MyAutismTeam Member I think we will give it a shot For reg pre school , he needed Speech therapy .I hope he gets enough treatment for speech and language development.
@A MyAutismTeam Member, Yes Special Ed Is Different From An Regular Class Room But The Way It Sounds Like Your Son Will Be Put In An Regular Class Room. My Son Started Pre-k In September And. he's 4 He Has Moderate Autism Spectrum Disorder And He's In A Regular Class Room But He Gets Pulled Out His Class 20 mins A Day So He Can Get His Speech Therapy Other Than That Everything Is Normal He Get To Participate In All The Activities Just Like The Rest Of His Class. I'm Very Hopeful That Your Son Will Have The Same Experience At His School And I Got My Fingers Crossed For Your Son That Everything Will Be Fine! 💯😃
Your Welcome @A MyAutismTeam Member
