my 8 years daughter hates school. she does not want to go school or study at home. she seems happy if i let be along. let her do whatever she likes to do. i live in a country where school does not help if ur child don't want to go school. in my situation what would you do?? keep her home and let be along with her self or keep trying to send her school or do study.
Develop play based learning/investigative learning about topics that do interest her.
Create and develop your own way to home school her. You can also learn as you go along, you can learn the material together.
Does she like to make art? Garden? Cook?
What interests her about the world? Can you read books on those topics?
Can you make your own books?
Does she have an animal?
Create a routine that allows her to get exercise, connect with others in community that are both her age and different ages, develop life skills, play, learn how to interact with the world through reading and writing even in a non traditional way.
My oldest girla did not like school they have severe anxiety I chose to home school which was no easy task however do not give up on trying to get her to study maybe try different techniques till you find which one works for her maybe she doesn't process that type of learning. Just a thought good luck!
I'm not a big fan of TV but I'll let my child watch something educational and fun for 30 min like Sesame Street where they can learn but I would definitely find a resource to help you encourage your child to enjoy school depending on her diagnosis. Here in the states, there is the regional centers. Hope that helps.
My daught dosen't like to go to school but will do her work at home it is so bad that she make herself sick. The school is now threaten to take me to court if she misses any more day. So I try to find something she like to do and if she goes to school and do her school work then at then end of the week she can do something she likes. I keep a chart so that be fore she goes to bed she can put her stare on that day. It seems to be working
I am not familiar with the different cultural norms of Bangladesh, especially with regards to education. But what I do know is doing nothing is the worst thing you can do. Try to find ways to educate your child at home. When walking around, point out different things. Watch documentaries, watch the news. People with autism absorb more than others may realize. Find every opportunity you can to make it into a teaching moment.
