Well my son is 15 he is non verbal and he hasn't been able to grasp the pec system in all these years but I have been seeing other options with his speech therapist . She says we should try something new . I'm feeling not so positive right now . You could try a tablet but they are PECs based fir the most part. He might react a little better to it though becuse it actually speaks. Other than that there is sign language. My daughter uses all of those plus she can actually use about 29 words to get he point across.
