We went to his doctors appt last week and his doctor said he has poor weight gain.He referred my son for nutritionist and also advised me to mix rice with butter since my son only eats rice with some sauce, potato bread, corn flakes and drinks milk. i tried mixing his foods with non preferred food but he knows right away and he is very suspicious all the time every time i give him his preferred food. My doc prescribed protein shakes for my little guy
Ensure - protein shake made by Abbott and sold at Target, Walgreen's, Jewel. My son preferred a vanilla flavor over the chocolate. It has been a life saver from time to time. When he was 8 y.o. I wandered if I had to re-install a car seat required under 40 lbs - his weight at some moment was 39 lbs. When billboards around proclaimed a progress in the battle against children's obesity, we have a struggles on the opposite end.
