Desparately Need Help For My Son

Help! I am the parent of a 10yr old boy, Chris. Chris has struggled with severe depression and anti-socialism. Although he has an IEP he's not getting any help at school. He can't read. Doesn't know his ABC's. Nor can he write his full name. Because the school finds it easier to just promote him grade to grade than address his needs, Chris's anti-social behavior, depression, anxiety, emotional well-being is at crisis level. I live in Arizona. Apparently there just isn't enough doctors to… read more

When my 14 yr old was 10 I had to leave my job to care for her. Address some of her issues, etc. Thought it would only be a year or so. She's still my full-time job. And then with my son's recent issues I sometimes blame myself for not seeing it sooner the ASD ( the symptoms). Because my daughter is an amazing handful. She's always refused medication so I've developed a mentality of just managing day to day hoping to make it to the next with her.
You have no idea what your advice...suggestion means to me. As it's my job to help make my Elizabeth a functioning successful adult. Now I am more hopeful that may be true.

I also have 2 daughters 25 & 21 yrs old. And also a 16 yr old son. All from a different father and we'll let me just say " a piece of cake to raise" compared to my youngest 2.

You could probably knock me over with a feather if that's true because my 14yr old daughter is ODD and my 10yr old son is ASD.
