Waiting In Line
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

My 4 yr old son has ASD/ADHD: and he does not like to wait in line anywhere for anything..... are there any tips on how to handle this?

I understand. I usually bring bubbles and small toys like cars or a ball. I hope this is helpful.

My son also has games and movies on his cell phone, I was reading articles that states certain establishments will assist right away if you have a special needs child... not sure how true that is

Haven't heard that; but that would be nice.

Good question. My daughter doesn't like lines or waiting either. Now that I have a cell phone I let her play a sensory game or other games I have on my phone. I put her in the cart ( bottom part, she never wants to stay long in the seat part) or I hold her; which is getting harder the taller and heavier she gets.(She is 6 1/2 (7 in sept.)). Not sure if that helps; I will be watching for more ways also. HUGS :)
