Relocating From London UK To Raleigh North Carolina USA
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

Anyone please provide me details how good Raleigh is in terms of schooling and support for 4 years old Autistic child. He is mild to moderate non verbal.

London is shrinking in budgets and resources and very difficult to even get speech therapy.

Thinking if Raleigh works out better and may be health insurance benefits from my employer would be good resource to do things privately like speech therapy, Occupational therapy and ABA.

Even after IEP you have to see that they are giving you enough OT and speech .

Thanks for your reply. Which services we have to fight? Like OT speech etc or school with special classes? What if you have IEP?

I was speaking to one of the lady from wake county schooling system and she was saying once you have IEP school do fulfill all needs?

We are in Cary nc and getting Aba through our insurance Aetna . We go to Carolina center for aba . Schools are okay but you have to fight for services .
