A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hi guys
Can you please throw on here all the conditions that your ASD child (that you suspect of medically have a diagnosis for) that are causing your child heightened behaviour and distress.

I want to know if there are other factors possibly affecting my son. Anythibg else linked to ASD appart from his gasterointestinal issues.
Ibuprofen often works for him, I dont thibk he has headaches....

What else could be inflamed?

Thank You? Or levels of hystamine to be up in his body?

Thank you.

I am going to add another: celiac disease. R was diagnosed at 3 years. Here in Sweden there is an equivalent to wheat flour that is gluten free, which I use most of the time for cooking and baking. It is called dinkelmjöl. The closest I can Find in English is millet. I know that millet is a huge crop in the Midwest (SD, ND, MO, NE, IO) so it shouldn’t be hard to find. We need to do allergy testing again to see if more needs to be taken from his diet.

Stomach distress? Just had a digestive health doc tell me NSAIDs (ibuprofen, aspirin, Alene) are the WORST thing to take with gastro issues. I spent a few days in hospital wishing I was dead I was in so much pain...gastritis. Ipren made it so much worse. Tylenol is better with this problem.

Also, I have been really happy with this vitamin we are giving him- https://www.thorne.com/products/dp/children-s-b.... And we give a probiotic. The vitamin contains magnesium and zinc and some of the other minerals/vits mentioned above. There’s other vitamins out there that are sort of specially formulated for autism.
