How Do You Take Care Of Yourselves?
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

Moms, I want to ask how you take care of yourselves. I start to feel down again. I was diagnosed of depression years ago. Now winter, my worst season is coming. I have the feeling that it is going to be hard. I do not have family here. We moved here a few months ago. Feel lonely and disconnected. I feel harder and harder to make friends in real life. I have lots of anxieties. I saw a psychologist a few months ago, but did not help much. I feel so tired recently. Tired of myself. :(

A hobby class would be a great idea. I've been looking for a creative wtiting one myself. Not a problem I totally get it and not a lot of people do.

Oh I hear you! My husband and I moved three thousand miles away from my family and it is very isolating here. I feel depressed and weepy at times. I found reading Gabby Bernstein's books (The Universe Has Your Back) about meditation and giving your faith up to the universe helpful but it's a daily experience of keeping the faith when you're isolated and depressed. I think Sumrae is right, try to find a little bit of time for yourself each day. I also have to take a break and watch some Netflix...which I can only do now because my son is older and needs his community of friends online and computer game time.

One of my literature teachers said, "Just keep writing. Maybe you will surprise yourself one day."

Its funny that you say that because I've had the same idea about my life, ive always wanted to be a writer...hard to break into it though.

@A MyAutismTeam Member Creative writing has been my dream. I always want to make my life story into an autobiographical novel. I have put down some important fragments of my life. But still a long long way to go. I need to make efforts to keep myself working on it.
