Hi guys
Can any parents give me any information on how they tried this, was it a slow and gradual decrease of foods off the list allowed, how did your kiddos react, how easy or hard did you find it?
All results are welcome even if you tried it and stopped it or tried it and didnt feel a benefit.
Our son currently on a blockage cycle of about every 4 months we have got this down from every 2. His bowel will back up and block up then loosen to weeks of stoolon to clear away.
I'm a bit terrified… read more

I would go slowly, too! We found removing dairy did nothing but removing gluten helped him a lot with constipation/diarrhea/nausea cycle. Also, you can try Paleo diet which removes all grains from the diet and is almost the same diet as the Select Carbohydrate Diet which still allows some dairy. We are on the Feingold Diet at the moment but it is modified for GF.
Fortunately, for y son, we didn't have any issues with food blocking him up. He lets us know, to this day, what foods he likes to eat, and doesn't like to eat. Good luck with your issue.
Good morning, let me begin by saying remember that what works for one may not work for another. However, on the other hand this way of life because it’s not a diet that you do for a week and expect a change. It’s a way of life works wonders for many and this is why it’s so popular. So mostly common sense and a lot of positive influence to your child.
Truly depends on age of child, have they been exposed to sugar/candy? Fast food? French fries? Pizza? Hot dogs? Chicken nuggets?
If so, then it’s going to be a uphill battle, NOT impossible just tough.
So if your up for the challenge and want to give your child the chance of a new way of life then let’s begin...
For my son Johan this is still the way of life. It made a light switch difference in his life.
We did have him tested chemically. Meaning not just food allergies but hair, stool, urine, and blood.
So we had a map of where we needed to go.
His results were shocking, he was only two years of age.
We eat clean as a family so exposure to the foods above I mentioned had been minimal to zero.
So there begins the Gluten Free Casien Free Diet.
We went in head first. Not easy by no means. Slow to educate ourselves but a requirement. Knowledge is power.
Honestly now days this change is much easier then it was back then. Johan is 7 now. He himself knows to ask before he eats something if it’s gluten free.
I hope this helped you. If you want any details or tips please feel free to ask away. I don’t preach this way of life like I use to only because I get frustrated at the parents who come at me with the oh he won’t eat that, she does not like this, or we tried that for a week and no changes, the best is he lost weight and would not eat. I come from a strict background these children don’t know what tough means, I am Johans Mother he is my son. It’s simple. What I say goes. Yes we have battled but you always stand firm on who you are and why you do what you do.
The result is you explain to your child why this is important and remember they are smarter then we are at times so think how would you accept this change? Then make it appealing to your child to accept.
Best wishes!
