We are going to LEGOLAND soon with our typical 7 year old neurological child and our almost 3 yrs old ASD toddler. We wanted to know if anyone has tips, what to avoid or what’s good for an ASD child at LEGOLAND. He is constantly moving trying to touch things, run off, can’t focus, won’t stay waiting in line.

I can’t speak specifically for Legoland, but I’d imagine they have something similar. We went to Disneyland and if you stop by guest services they can give you a “stroller as a wheelchair tag”. It was super helpful because she had her own comfort zone, we even had a blanket handy in case we needed to drape it over. With the pass we were able to enter through the exits, skipping the line and she could stay In her stroller for the short wait. This made A HUGE difference as we were afraid we wouldn’t be able to stay long or she wouldn’t be able to enjoy the experience. They also gave us a sensory map that listed what each rode entailed; very very helpful.
