My son was recently diagnosed and I have no clue really where to go from here. He's 3 non verbal with sensory issues and more things I'm learning daily.
First of all, congratulations on getting a diagnosis for your son! It doesn't change who he is, but it will make it much easier to learn about and understand the way his brain works, in addition to making it easier to get him the supports and accommodations he'll need to thrive.
In terms of where to start when it comes to learning about Autism and learning how best to assist your Autistic son with coping with the challenges Autistic people face in modern society, my first recommendation is always to listen to what Autistic adults have to say, because we've already gone through many of the things your son is likely to go through and can provide advice on how best to handle them. Here are some links to multiple Autism-related resources that prioritize Autistic voices:

Hopefully those resources help - they cover the vast majority of the Autism-related topics you're likely to need information about.
If you're experiencing any grief regarding your son's diagnosis, I also recommend reading Jim Sinclair's essay, Don't Mourn For Us, which helps explain why feelings of grief are so common after receiving an Autism diagnosis and how to separate your grief over the non-Autistic child you expected to have from your feelings towards your Autistic child: www.autreat.com/dont_mourn.html
Apply ssi ,also for ihss helps with income because all the cost of helping kids with sensory issues is expensive..things are always changing and so are the cost of stuff that helps them cope..also look into aba..speech therapy .compression vest...blankets ,compression vest off funandfunction.com help my 5 year old the most..aba therapy is a god send...
I always describe how I felt when my son was diagnosed as being dropped off of a cliff. I had no idea what to do. It will take time but you’re not alone. Welcome to this group and the Autism Speaks website has lots of resources, too. That’s where I started. Hope that helps!
Welcome this awesome support group!
