Has Anyone Taken Their Child Out Of School Early?
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

I'm completely drained. My Son has put more holes in the wall. Has bm all over the floor and has torn the insulation out of his bunky. I am so tired. I want to try and be there until he is 22. So that he can complete HS but I'm thinking that I should let him graduate at 18 now. It's not like he is learning anything.
It's not getting easier with age. He is so behind. He can't do anything for himself.

Its a residential facility. I guess the mental health grew tired of me coming doing there when my son was having "meltdowns". So they gave me an option of putting him in a group home/ residential facility until he become stable enough to return home.

If it's a group home, he should be able to still attend school and then get dropped off at the facility. Did they say that he had to graduate before placement? I wished that I had more help for violent and damage behavior😐
