I join in with my DD when she is scripting or using echolalia. She gets a huge kick out of it when I finish a line for her or say the next line. This is a way that I have encouraged her to talk more. I don't know if it will work for every kid, but I find that it is a way for us to hold a "conversation". If that makes sense? :)

He utilizes the lines in the correct way most of the times but other times he just walks around spouting off lines from his favorite cartoons...
