Mental Health Insurance
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

My husband's employer recently switched mental health providers to Beacon. We had never had beacon before. It is giving us lots of problems and not paying our providers. Any advice on how to get things resolved? Please tell me about your experiences with beacon mental health.

Beacon isn't actually the insurance. It's the third party that the provider uses to clear the insurance. They are really tough. I would contact your providers and let them know of your insurance and they should be able to let you know if beacon approves it for them. Hope that helps.

The real problem is that blue Cross and beacon don't talk to each other. We have already met deductible and maximum out of pocket but blue Cross never told beacon. I am trying to get it resolved
