How do u know if your child needs ABA?
It’s usually the recommendation of the Dr who diagnosed. If it’s something you’re considering then you’d have an evaluation done just like with other services like speech and OT
My son is a 25 autistic with aggression and destructive behavior please help
Thank you so much, sorry for the late response.
Just wanted to know if anyone has used a weighted blanket for their child. I think Makayla would really benefit from one. They are expensive, but i may ask my mom and dad if they would go in on one with me.
It's nice to get different side to help our kids..... Great job everyone😊
We have been going back and forth. With our 25 year old son who is autistic, with aggressive behaviors. He was on respiradone and the doctor changed it to invega which worked for the first 7 days and then all hell broke loose whe. He started to become so hyperactive and was eating until he vomits. For more information you can visit their website at www.kennedykrieger.org. Not sure about the age ranges. Good luck.
My daughter and 2 of her classmates will soon "age-out" of our state's education program for special needs children. They have "behaviors" that will prevent them from obtaining and keeping a job. There are also no affordable facilities or programs for young adults in our area. As a group we would like to develop a program similar to the one they have at school but lack the funds. Does anyone know what brand weighted blanket and or the weights
My aunt is making me 2 weighted blankets for both of my kids. But u can find them on line.
My son is piling on stuff on top of his bed on top of him every night and a friend just offered to pay for a weighted blanket. He loves deep pressure too, but also wears a weighted vest when at school that they provide. They also provide the pressure vest. I think the weight will help him sleep. He sleeps better with all the pile on him and cries if things fall off during the night.
EthanMom I was surprised today when Dream Catchers asked how tall my son was and actually recommened a heavier blanket than the 7lbs. They recommened 11 lbs for a full size or 9 for a twin

That's great.
My 5 year old son often asks me, "Is this a dream?". Do I need to be concerned about this? Is he not understanding reality vs. Fantasy? Could this be a sleep issue? Anyone else have this issue?
Thank you! We will implement the strategies suggested. I'm looking forward to seeing results.
