We are considering moving to El Segundo or close to it for my my 5 years old son autism therapies which seems could be better in US vs UK where we are now. Therefore it'd be nice to know which school districts are more supportive with autism. My son is verbal, adhd and high functioning. Over here he's in mainstream class with 1:1 and very small group support.
You're welcome. Both cities are very pricey as far as housing, but we sacrifice and stay here because of the great benefits that California offers. You will most likely register with the Westside Regional Center as soon as you get here. They provide so many benefits for children on the spectrum. If your son is high functioning I am not sure. If there is any cognitive reasoning you will just have to see. If you don't need the WRC services, the schools will still provide a great support. www.westsiderc.org
Culver City is the best I have seen here. I strongly suggest Culver City. But El Segundo is great too. Anything but Los Angeles.
That's really good to hear the area has great services and support for kids with autism. Thank you so much for the tip I'll look into it.
Thank you very much Forensicmummy!
