PECs For Visual Schedule
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hi all,
Im trying to create a visual schedule for SB but my ability to find PECs or clip art and then manipulate them for what we need has turned out to be more time consuming and difficult than i thought it would be. I dont have a computer so I am using my phone mostly.
Any tips? Did you just buy something?

I made a visual schedule using a download from teacherspayteachers.com, it was $6 I think & you just print it & can have it laminated if you want. It came with tons of different pecs & a morning, afternoon & evening schedule. I was annoyed at first bc I thought they'd just send me the actual product but it turned out the already prepared ones were way more expensive. Hope that helps!

I used a dry erase board and hung it in the living room for my daughter...I printed off pics (try the library), put them in plastic envelopes, then taped them to the dry erase board with 1st eat breakfast, 2nd brush teeth, 3rd get dressed...then I'd erase and put up 3 more pics with, and keep going until the end of the day. Not sure if this was something you had in mind but it was very helpful with my schedule obsessed daughter 😉

I use lessonpix.com. they have a vast assortment of pecs that you can print for free that I use for Tristans pecs binder. I then bought a laminating machine off Amazon for $20. I have a laptop and printer at home so I'm able to do all of this but you can always save the images to your phone and email them to Staples or Office Depot to be printed and laminated.

We take pics on our phone of things he eats, drinks and does/wants regularly..then print them at the store...
For use of them ill give you an example of what we do.
If my son wants a juice and is putting my hand tward it i grab tge pec....grab a juice...hand him the pec (hand over hand) to hand to us..then give him his juice immediately following.
It will take time for him to first understand that if he hands you a pec,he gets something in return, tgen it will alsp take a bit more time to realise the picture on the pec is tge zame as what you gave him...it should be done in steps...
