I have never used Math U See, but it looks interesting. The problem is that it is a big investment the first year because you need to buy all of the manipulatives. My children hate using manipulatives, and I was told that is not uncommon with kids on the spectrum. I would make sure your child likes working with them before making a big financial investment in Math U See. Otherwise, Nath U See seems to get very positive reviews and had been around for quite a while.
The math curriculum we use is Life of Fred. Story based, with short lessons, and no drill and kill. It's not for everyone, but we love it.

I homeschool through a charter school. I use the common core curriculm for 1st grade, but my daughters special ed teacher suggested I look at other types of curriculms. But I do not like the math u see I feel like it its to confusing. My daughter does have a iep and speech and is getting a evaluation for ot. I enjoy what we have going on. It is for us best of both worlds. She can go and do enrichment at the school. And get the 1 on 1 teaching. We meet with her resource teacher and special ed teacher once a month for added support for me. This is also the only school my daughter knows she has been homeschooled since kindergarten.
